Should sovereigns and francs be certified?

I walked into my neighborhood coin shop and asked for sovereigns. He said he just happened to have two hanging around and that's it. when I go to sell it back sometime will they be finding all kinds of things wrong if it's not certified? or do they generally give the market value for circulated?

Sovereigns are a semi-numismatic coin.

Meaning when you go to buy them they have a small numismatic value tacked on to their bullion value.

Generally..No. If you have an older dated , rare year, and in good shape(Not cleaned/damaged) it may be worth it......Maybe, if on a common one that is a possible high mint state,65-69, it would be worth it.
